Majors and Minors

The East Asian Languages and Cultures Department offers a full program of instruction in the languages, literatures, and cultures of China, Japan, and Korea. Several different B.A. degree tracks are available, see EALC BA Degrees, as well as two minor tracks, see Minor in East Asian Language or Minor in East Asian Culture.

Tibetan and Uyghur

EALC also offers elementary and intermediate language courses in Tibetan and Uyghur. Tibetan and Uyghur language studies can be used to fulfill the CLAS second language requirement necessary to complete the B.A. degree.

We offer a variety of courses suitable for non-degree seeking students.
