East Asian Studies with Japanese Language Concentration: 

31 Junior/Senior credit hours – 9 hours must be taken at KU.

  • JPN 306-310 and JPN 504-508 (10 credits)
  • ECIV 304 or 305 (3 credits)
  • Pre-modern Japan (3 credits)
  • Japanese Literature, Culture, or Language (3 credits)
  • One course on Japan (3 credits)*
  • One course on East Asia (3 credits)*
  • One course on China (3 credits)
  • One course on Korea (3 credits)

** Honors 499 may be used to fulfill either of the requirements marked with **
